Blessed

Stacey and I recently celebrated our eighth wedding anniversary. Time flies when you’re in love and having fun.

I won’t waste space in this post describing how blessed I am to have her. If you know Stacey, then you already know how true that is. If you don’t, take my word on it.

For our anniversary we spent some time in Seattle trying out some fun new places to eat and eventually wound up at the place where it all started.

In the picture above, Stacey is standing in Fauntleroy Church in West Seattle, where on June 28, 2003 I was given the second greatest gift (God’s Grace 1st) a man can receive, a loving wife.

I remember it well, in fact, being there with Stacey was fun as we began to recount all that happened on that hot and muggy Saturday in June.

We also spent time thinking and reflecting with gratitude how good God has been to us in our eight short years of marriage.

We are blessed.

In every way, we are living proof of God’s incredible grace.

We don’t deserve it and yet it continues.

We have three fantastic children and home that has room for more. We both have jobs that provide for our family and allow us to be present in our kids’ lives.

I often think to myself regarding life so far, “How can it get any better?”

Yet, Jesus promises that despite the ups and downs of this life He has come to give us a rich and satisfying life. Life to the full. Abundant.

So yes, it gets better.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. (Ephesians 3.20, NLT)

Wow, I am humbled and thankful to serve a God who loves me and blesses freely. It’s way more than I could ask or imagine.
