Run w/ a Purpose (Again)

I ran my first marathon last year on June 5th.

It was the Green River Marathon, it’s held every year on the first weekend in June. The race starts in the Kent Valley and finishes at Alki Beach in Seattle.

I ran with a purpose then and I’m getting ready to do so again.

Last year I attempted to raise as much money as possible to help send students (middle school through college) to our summer camp, Lift.

It went well and in total we raised a few thousand dollars. The money people gave was funneled directly to our camp effort and made Lift 2010 a reality for students who couldn’t get all the money together on their own.

This year I’m back at it and I think it will be even more fun.

Why?

Because this time I have company.

30+ students, interns, and leaders are running with me on relay teams. Our goal is to run with a purpose (again).

We’re attempting to raise $12,500 for camp this year. Reaching our goal will send 50 students to Lift 2011 in August.

There are many worthwhile causes and this happens to be ours.

Thanks for believing with us, it’s a big goal, but with your help we can reach it.

Grace,

Andy
