Weigh In #2

About a week and a half ago I went public with my confession.

I am a stress-eater.

It was time to act and so I started charting my calories in an effort to shed some pounds.

My starting weight was 208 lbs.

My goal weight is 185 lbs.

Every Friday is a weigh in for me. I’m going public because it’s more motivating to me.

There’s no pressure for you to share, but if you’d like to, please do.

Before I get to my current weight here are five foods I’m currently enjoying as I strive to cut weight.

5. Lean Body Smoothie from Emerald City

At just over 400 calories, this smoothie is a delicious meal replacement. I get mine this way: Vanilla packet, add strawberry & banana. Mmm, really good.

4. Taco Time Light Meal

The Taco Time Light Meal checks in at 316 calories. It’s pretty filling too. I prefer mine with Light Lemonade or Coke Zero.

3. Wheat Thin Honey Wheat Stix

These are great for a quick snack around the house. A serving is only 130 calories but when you add in some Laughing Cow cheese it’s a pretty enjoyable snack.

2. Sliced Peppers

Not everyone will agree with my next favorite snack, but I don’t care. I seriously love peppers. They are a fantastic snack and are extremely low in calories. It only takes a few minutes to prepare them, but well worth the effort.

1. Popcorn

It may surprise you, but did you know that even a full bag of Movie Theatre Butter from Orville Redenbacher comes in at 400 calories. This is great news for me, because I am a popcorn junky and sometimes I just really need to binge.

Well those are a few of the foods / snacks that are helping me.

What about you? What are you snacking on? What’s helping you drop those few extra pounds?

Oh yeah, I almost forgot…

My current weight is 202 lbs.

That’s -6 in 10+ days.

  1. 164 on Wednesday before my run. So that’s -6 also. I’m finding sliced strawberries are terrific. Usually I only like them in Neapolitan ice cream
