Now is the Time to Lead

“Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead.”

God spoke those words to Joshua one month after Moses died.

It was his time to lead.

Whether he expected it or not it was his turn and time to lead.

His instructions to Joshua were quite simple:

“Be strong and courageous.”

That sounds great and all, but I wonder how Joshua truly felt about it?

It’s way easier being a backseat driver or armchair quarterback than it is to be the point person.

For years Joshua was able to be the right hand man to Moses and now it was his turn to take the lead position.

The main reason Joshua could be strong and courageous is because God promised to be with him as he was with Moses.

“I will not fail you or abandon you.”

God wanted Joshua to do one more thing:

“Study this Book of Instruction continually. Obey everything written in it… Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.”

Joshua had everything he needed to lead.

All that was left for him was to do it.

The same promises God made to Joshua are made to us today.

  • Our time to lead is now.
  • We can be strong and courageous because God is with us.
  • He won’t fail or abandon us.
  • God alone is the reason we succeed and prosper.

What are you waiting for?

Be strong & courageous.

God is with you.

You will succeed & prosper.

NOW is your time to lead.
