Have you ever heard or read the quote, “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is God’s gift, that’s why we call it the present.”?

I meant before now.

I know it’s corny and all, but there’s quite a bit of truth in that cute and catchy sentence.

Your past is just that… passed.

It’s gone.

You can’t retrieve it. There’s no going back. It’s over.

Your future, well it’s great to plan ahead and set goals, but your future is always just out of your reach.

The only thing you truly possess and have control over is the present.

Now.

Now is all you have.

You can’t change what’s already occurred. There are no do-overs.

You and I both have now.

What will you do with your now.

You can be a blessing to somebody now. You can encourage someone now. You can be brave now.

Your future has to wait, that comes later.

But you can forgive now. You can try again now. You can move on from a tough past now.

Now is all you and I have.

Let’s make the most of it.
